Deep breathing symbolizes calmness, offering relief from anxiety, akin to the empowerment of women. Do we genuinely grant them the autonomy they merit? Let's reflect on societal attitudes.“Breathe” articulates annoyance with the limitations placed on women in society, highlighting the irony that they might find more freedom underwater. This metaphorical expression suggests that women might seek liberation through unconventional means due to the constraints they face on the surface.

Despite being empowered, women feel restricted by family & societal pressures, limiting their sense of liberty and autonomy. It underscores the need for societal change to create environments where all individuals can inhale choice & opportunity and exhale oppression & prejudice. Done in mixed media fashion using waste materials, sculpture paste, pen, acrylic and oil paints, it an interactive piece of art where the viewers were invited to touch and feel the emotional turmoil.
